What does it symbolize?

The Ripples Publication

The central device of the logo is the nib of a pen, the traditional instrument of a writer. Superimposed on it is the sigil of St. Ignatius – the lobos y ola – a reminder of the identity of the community which the publication represents. Supporting nib and sigil are sprigs of laurel, the classical symbol that customarily crowns skill, achievement, and eloquence.

What is the publication's motto?

The Ripples Publication

Emblazoned above the nib is the publication’s motto: Eloquentia et Sapientia, Eloquence and Wisdom. A Jesuit phrase associated with academic excellence, the motto reflects the linguistic standards of the ideal Atenista, that is, someone who can express his or her thoughts and ideas exquisitely and intelligently: not only one or the other but both.

Surrounding the devices and the motto are the names of the publication and the school.
